Its Tuesday and I'm just getting out this weekly update. It is a scorcher, but the office in Bath is air conditioned (but working very hard to overcome the 90+ degrees outside.
It was a weekend of which included two weddings, two receptions and a baptism. By now, I've prepared next week's bulletin which will include a column entitled "Marriages and Milestones in the Sacramental Life." Next week you'll be able to read it.
This week's column is entitled "Generosity Abounds." It describes last Wednesday, a day that several people expressed their love for our parish and its ministries with extraordinary generosity. It was a very good day.
I've also included information about an upcoming contemplative prayer retreat that my friends Deacon George and Paula Welch and Fr. Phil Billotte are hosting. I continue to struggle to take quiet time with the Lord including some time for contemplative or centering prayer. This retreat sounds very interesting.
Have a blessed week.

Over the years, God has blessed me with many wonderful opportunites to
minister. As a Roman Catholic permanent deacon of the Diocese of
Rochester, New York, (ordained 1982), I have served in a wide variety
of ministries. Whether I am ministering to my parish, hospitals, nursing homes, prisons, travel or retreat groups (e.g. Cursillo, Walk
to Emmaus, Koiniania, Pre Cana, Youth) - music has played an important
role in opening doors and hearts.
This website is an
extension of that ministry. Here you'll find the lyrics to many of my
prayer-songs and, if you like, purchase from a collection of CDs I've recorded.
There's also information about tours and pilgrimages that my wife Pat and I
occasionally host and links to web sites I've found interesting.
