Dear friends in life and in ministry . . .

As mentioned last week, it has been an exciting few weeks for our family. Annie's new store (Sweet Annie) on Market Street in Corning has opened for business. On Thursday, Chris moved into his new apartment. And yesterday
(Saturday) Monica received her Master of Science in Inclusive Education (Elementary and Special Education) from Nazareth College in Rochester.

At her commencement, Monica received a special award from her section faculty as its outstanding student. While Pat and I watched with great pride, this tribute was Monica's alone for she is indeed a person of great intelligence, passion and responsibility.

On Friday night, following a celebratory dinner with Monica and her friend Nate, we attended a party with Monica and several friends she has made during her graduate studies. It was a special joy to meet these young adults, who have befriended and supported each other during this exciting and challenging period of their lives. Now, the challenge shifts to finding employment. As Monica wryly observed, "Yesterday we were graduate students, today we join the "unemployed", tomorrow we become competitors - each seeking one of a limited number of area teaching positions." The journey continues.

Following the commencement, Monica, Pat and I visited two special friends who reside at the Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse: Sister Jean Rodman, Monica's godmother and our dear friend for nearly forty years and Fr. Frank Davis, retired pastor of St. Patrick's Church in Corning. Then, we made a stop at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery to plant flowers at the grave of my Mom who continues to have in Eternal Life a very special and loving relationship with Monica.

God is so good.

Ray

Have a good week. Serve one another well”

Over the years, God has blessed me with many wonderful opportunites to minister.  As a Roman Catholic permanent deacon of the Diocese of Rochester, New York, (ordained 1982), I have served in a wide variety of ministries. Whether I am ministering to my parish, hospitals,  nursing homes, prisons, travel or retreat groups (e.g. Cursillo, Walk to Emmaus, Koiniania, Pre Cana, Youth) - music has played an important role in opening doors and hearts.
This website is an extension of that ministry. Here you'll find the lyrics to many of my prayer-songs and, if you like, purchase from a collection of CDs I've recorded. There's also information about tours and pilgrimages that my wife Pat and I occasionally host and links to web sites I've found interesting.

I pray that you will enjoy this visit, and if you like,
