Dear friends in life and in ministry . . .
The days are crisp and the leaves at the beginning of a color burst.
Autumn is upon us.
"Oh may I live my life in colors - bright glorious colors - of every hue.
Oh may I live my life in colors - bright glorious colors - of love from You."
The colors of God's love burst brightly, not only with the changing seasons, but also in the friends God sends our way. I thank God for your friendship and that you have opened this email. May God's glorious colors grace your life this week.
I received this link from a friend this week and found it inspiring.

Our pastoral staff met on Tuesday evening to plan for the nest few months.
The meeting followed closely our annual Pet Blessing service. Add Wednesday evening’s Confirmation at St. Catherine’s and Thursday’s RCIA Informational meeting and you’ll see that its been another very full week. Also this week, several of our young people received the Hands of Christ Award for service to the parish and community. Some traveled to Rochester to receive their award. Most attended the Hands of Christ presentation in Ithaca Saturday morning. St. Mary’s own Christina Cardona was chosen from hundreds of award recipients throughout the Diocese to speak at this ceremony.
Hopefully, on World Youth Sunday (October 29), we’ll hear Christina’s witness at Mass.
Al Hanning is nearing completion of the painting of the church. That, along with the cleaning of the Stations, has restored the beauty of our church while saving us many thousands of dollars. Al’s generous stewardship of time and talent is an inspiration.
We’re well into our Church Renovation trial and so far I’ve heard nothing but positive comments. It you have comments (positive, negative or creative), please voice them to me during the trial. This will allow us to consider modifications that will hopefully allow us to reach consensus at our November 8th Dinner & Discussion.
Saint Mary’s Parish Life Committee announces a series of Wednesday Evening Parish Dinner and Discussions. The first will take place on Wednesday, October 11, at 5:30 p.m. in O’Malley Hall. Parish Life Coordinator Karen Grimmer will prepare the dinner which will be followed by a presentation by Fr. Peter Anglaaere on the Church in Ghana. Following Fr. Peter’s presentation, Deacon Ray will facilitate a question and answer discussion on the parish and its ministries. RSVP forms will be available in Church on this weekend. There will be no charge for the dinner but a free will
offering will be received.
Have a good week. Serve one another well.
