Dear Friends,

Dear friends in life and in ministry  . . .

Mother Teresa made the news last week with the publication of letters from her journal that prove that she was in fact human.  She actually had days, perhaps years, of religious doubts and uncertainty. My column this week draws on that very endearing news.

We received some other good news this week from my youth minister and faith formation coordinator Mary Carol Wall -  someone that I personally know who is definitely headed for sainthood.  Those of you who actually read these postings will recall that for most of last year Mary Carol was fighting breast cancer with chemotherapy and surgery. Throughout this time, Mary Carol inspired us with thoughtful essays on her experiences and the support she was receiving from her faithful relationship with God.

This week's good news was a clean bill of health from her doctors for which Mary Carol, her family and many friends give God the glory.

My work week included a meeting with our RCIA team in preparation for an Introductory meeting this week. We also trained several parishioners for liturgical roles at weekend Masses.

Pat and I spent the Labor Day holiday with our daughter Annie, her new husband Jason, 7 month old Jackson Gabriel and Jason's mom Rogeen Bocker at a beautiful home on Keuka Lake.

This website includes some family photos of the wedding.  To view these photos click this web address:

Have a blessed week.

Over the years, God has blessed me with many wonderful opportunites to minister.  As a Roman Catholic permanent deacon of the Diocese of Rochester, New York, (ordained 1982), I have served in a wide variety of ministries. Whether I am ministering to my parish, hospitals,  nursing homes, prisons, travel or retreat groups (e.g. Cursillo, Walk to Emmaus, Koiniania, Pre Cana, Youth) - music has played an important role in opening doors and hearts.
This website is an extension of that ministry. Here you'll find the lyrics to many of my prayer-songs and, if you like, purchase from a collection of CDs I've recorded. There's also information about tours and pilgrimages that my wife Pat and I occasionally host and links to web sites I've found interesting.

I pray that you will enjoy this visit, and if you like,
